A High-Quality, Portable Veterinary Ultrasound System
The SSD-500V is a rugged, portable convex sector/linear scanner that offers versatility, superb image quality and reliable performance in a compact design. This 22 lb system has Electronic dynamic focus and 256 shades of gray that produces high-quality images.
The SSD-500V includes comprehensive measurement and analysis packages. Measurements include distance/depth, area, circumference, velocity, heart rate, ratio and angle. The system also included obstetrical analysis functions that can calculate estimated gestational age and expected date of confinement.
In addition, customized obstetrical tables can be easily created. The SSD-500V software package also includes left ventricular function software for M-Mode Cardiac evaluation.
The 500V provides excellent clinical versatility—for use in both small and large animal applications—using a wide range of optional Convex and Linear array transducers.
Innovative Image Quality in a Compact Size
Featuring design concepts inherited from our higher end systems along with Aloka’s latest proprietary electronic technologies, the compact SSD-900V delivers superb images.
Traditionally, portable units suffer from hardware and software limitations that affect image quality. Aloka’s SSD-900V sets new standards for what’s possible in a portable unit. Incorporating over 50 years of experience and unique micro-chip technologies, the SSD-900V generates incredibly high-resolution images.
The SSD-900V offers a full range of measurement functions for professional ultrasonic examination. And unlike conventional portable systems, the SSD-900V includes annotation labeling and 15-channel preset functions as standard features.
The system also use Super High Density transducers (found on our high-end systems) to enhance imaging resolution. These multi-frequency transducers provide a broad range of imaging frequencies to optimize scan frequency for depth of view.

A touch panel is incorporated on the observation monitor. Basic operations such as the adjustment of image quality and so on can be made by touching it directly. According to the circumstances, only necessary buttons can be displayed allowing smooth operations. - HI Compound
The Ultrasound beam is transmitted and received in real time and in the multi-directions, and respective images are superimposed. The reduction of speckle noises and the improvement of contrast resolution allow lesions to be clearly observed. - HI REZ
The HI REZ function uses Ultra BE to perform high-speed calculation, extract structures and enhances tissues. This improves a contrast resolution and S/N. - HI ZOOM
Automatic setting the optimum scan parameters and the HI Zoom to enlarge images improve both resolution and a frame rate.
